Well, That Job's Over
I guess they just didn't want me around any more. It's hard to say.
Granted, my position was being moved to Portland (OK, it turns out it is Tualatin I guess), but all things considered, my boss could have done things better. I know now he is, IN MY OPINION, a lying weasel. And, ALSO IN MY OPINION, a gutless coward. He couldn't come out and say he didn't want me around. He had to say that the other guy in the food chain above me didn't want me around. And boss-man played it out like he was being helpful, not wanting me to get burned after making the move and all that. Again, IN MY OPINION, he's a jerk.
On the other hand, I gained some good experience. I worked for a good boss when I worked for Jarrod. He has his quirks as a manager, but it always seemed as if he played it fairly straight with me. Don't get me wrong, I know he is and was Bill's number one boy, but I just had to remember that. He was still a good guy and managed me like I like to be managed. He said "Go Do This" and I did and he left me alone to do it.
Anyway, as it turns out, it's the best thing that ever happened to me, having to leave that job. See my next item for the reason why.
